DJ Frog was born, raised, and taught-to-groove in Montreal. Her preference is for the chuggy, chunky, dusty, and loopy ends of house and techno.
She’s in a love affair with the FM compressor at CKUT. DJ Frog also makes music and throws parties with her friends at Doo / Greenhouse.

XDB is Kosta Athanassiadis – German by birth and in residence, with Greek parentage. His roots are in the central German town of Göttingen. It was here that he began DJing in the early nineties; where he worked in a record shop; where he ran a radio show for five years; and the base from which he established the Metrolux record label in 2006.

Kosta’s DJ sets draw upon his expansive record collection, playing right across the board of the quality side of electronic music. He has no shortage of technical skill and prefers a 3 decks setup, but despite his mixing skills it’s his selection that truly shines – putting the music itself at the forefront, letting songs breathe when need be, and delivering plenty of head-scratching ‘what the hell is this track?’ moments.

Ko-Betreiber und Repräsentant von ACTING PRESS, einem Projekt zur Entwicklung audiovisueller Arbeiten seit 2015. AP ist Heimat sowohl für Soloarbeiten [PLO’] als auch für kollaborative Musik [mit C3D-E, INTe*ra, Globex, CC Not].

In-Game DJ-Erfahrung [Europa, Nordamerika, Asien, Ozeanien]: rund 15 Jahre. Derzeit mit Sitz in Berlin.

Ehemaliger Host von PLO Radio, ausgestrahlt auf dem inzwischen eingestellten Berlin Community Radio von 2013–2019. Seitdem Übertragungen über Lot Radio, Refuge Worldwide, Rinse.fm, IDA, NTS u.a.

Cynthia Matisse has always been driven by a passion for vinyl DJing. As a resident at Triebwerk Erfurt she explores a wide spectrum of electronic music – from Techno and House to Bass, Dubstep, DnB. From warm, groovy tunes to rousing, hypnotic atmospheres, or functional, energetic and driving sounds. Her aim is to always take the audience on an unpredictable journey with a heartfully thought out landscape. In her selection she has a very emotional approach to music, focused on creating depth and a captivating energy.

@flotze hat sich in den letzten Jahren einen festen Platz in der lokalen Underground-Szene erspielt. Ausgehend von seiner Homebase im @goethebunker, war er in Clubs der Region zu hören und formte dabei einen Sound der intensiv, direkt und fokussiert ist.

Seine Sets leben von dunklen atmosphärischen Elementen, rollenden Rhythmen mit einem klaren Fokus auf Flow und Bewegung, statt auf kurzfristige Höhepunkten. Die Energie bleibt konstant und zieht sich durch das gesamte Set.

Als Mitgründer von @deliriumessen ist er zudem aktiv daran beteiligt, die lokale Szene auch abseits des DJ-Pults mitzugestalten und neue Standards für die elektronische Musik im Untergrund der Region zu definieren.

Freifeld: Pin and Doo go way back, and SnPLO (PLO Man, DJ Spence, Sentena) are pleased to join with Doo Montreal studio mate DJ Frog and special guest XDB at Open Ground to DJ party music for people to turn up to in their own way. It’s always hard to describe music with words but basically it’s party music and it’s deep too. Pin and Doo party the same way where we’re trying to be aware of what is going on in the room and get the loop going into something that rolls on its own. But there’s so much more to want from a party and a space.. What will the strengths be? But at the same time we want it to feel like a house party if that’s right. We don’t need it too formal despite all the angles in there. We’re going to be lugging some new records on the train - come early if you want to buy one and chat?…..

Hopefully it can be the kind of thing where someone can come on their own and have fun, or feel like it wouldn’t be weird to come get in the mix. We’ll be out there too. Like in a way we’ll dissolve, like gatorade powder in water. But also really we’ll all just show up and do our thing because that’s all we can do.

Annex: The night begins with house-oriented and electro-leaning selections before gradually moving towards bass-heavy, faster and heavier sounds.

Delirium is a collective based in Essen, with members from across the Ruhr region and Düsseldorf. Over the years, we have hosted club nights, collaborated with like-minded collectives and cultural institutions, and contributed to a network of artists and organisers across NRW.

Playing at Open Ground offers a chance to focus entirely on the musical side of Delirium. Made up of people with different musical backgrounds and interests, Delirium has never been tied to a single sound. That diversity is reflected in this lineup.
