r.Select is an upcoming and growing artist based in Cologne, who is fascinated by the nostalgia of the techno culture from the 90s. As a part of rau.ton, with his sound he is creating a mysterious atmosphere with textured rhythms, while also exploring more experimental soundscapes. He loves to use tracks out of a variety of genres and therefore develops his sets within a range of 130bpm ambient up to intensified grooves with bpms as high as 138.
pik, resident at the münster-based schick.standort collective, found her personal style in a blend of timeless Detroit techno classics, mesmerizing dub techno, and a palette of peculiar sounds which draw on her long lasting passion and connection with electronic music.
She is known for her nonchalant mixing and refined track selection from a diverse range of genres, thus creating gracefully built sets that reflect her point-blank yet open-minded and curious approach to techno music.
Di2 is a resident of Münster’s Schick.Standort collective and now based in Cologne.
Her sound is deep, driving grooves with atmospheric textures. She likes to break the four to the floor norm by integrating polyrhythms into her sets, creating a rhythmic flow that challenges expectations. With a vision for a timeless sound, she navigates between genres and moods, always keeping the dancefloor engaged.
Marco Hilbert is a Cologne-based resident and the co-founder of rau.ton, his music is shaped by the underground, which is reflected in his sound. His current sound is minimalistic, experimental, and hypnotic, featuring sharp drums and pure one-shots. The focus is on creating a danceable atmosphere, with the goal of evoking ecstatic moments for all the visitors.
Setting the stage for Azu Tiwaline’s three-hour set is the Illusion Crew from Cologne, returning to Open Ground for the fourth time.
Kicking things off at 11 PM is Ole B/P, whose patient sound finds its center in stripped-back, bass-heavy club music, drawing influences from dub, percussive techno, and forward-thinking house — with a special affinity for opening sets.
Closing out the night from 4 AM is Ada Luvv, whose open approach to nearly every form of club music — with a focus on rhythmic techno and dubstep — results in tightly curated, eclectic sets balancing classic and experimental sounds.
rau.ton e.V. was founded in 2022 in Hannover and has been based in Cologne for around two years. The association represents experimental, minimalist techno that follows a raw and authentic aesthetic beyond commercial sounds. With its events, rau.ton creates spaces where visitors can lose themselves in hypnotic music and express themselves freely.
