For Newa, when DJing, the emotional guidance she uses to locate the structure of her set is key. She builds something that has all the ingredients of classic techno and at the same time perfectly mirrors its present sound. She explores the low-level end of the bass-spectrum as well as cunningly introducing squelchy acid together with intense melodies.
Newa’s techno is direct with an intense presence, yet never forceful or intrusive.
When it comes to Newa’s own productions it is a direct transition from her sound as a DJ; she represents a nuanced artist, building her musical presence on technical skill and honest feelings. Her authenticity extends into the studio.
What you discover when listening to her work is a producer who expertly manages to measure all elements; deep bass lines and sunken melodies coexist in harmony. Whether the end result is techno or an experimental ambient piece, she manages to create music resonating with depth and reflection.
Being one of the most in-demand Techno DJs of our times, Ben Klock needs little intro- duction. His name has been closely associated with Berlin’s legendary club Berghain since 2005. His monthly residency has formed the backdrop to his international success, providing an invaluable platform for his ability to create a room rather than just play to it.
Influenced by early Detroit techno and Berlin dub techno, drum'n'bass and IDM, the Berghain resident likes to break the frame as a producer & DJ. Coupled with fast and razor-sharp multi-deck mixing, he continues to develop his DJ sets with forward thrust and pursues the goal of a unity-creating experience on the floor. His productions and sets are united by a constant lookout for groove, flow, reduction and repetition and follow the urge to surrender oneself solely to the music.

With a distinctive approach to DJing, Maryisonacid seamlessly blends diasporic African sounds with groovy electronic tracks and techno, a style deeply influenced by her upbringing in Paris's Barbès district and her involvement in Berlin's eclectic and diverse party scene.
"From Afro to Techno, and everything in between,” she approaches music in her own unapologetic way, ensuring no genre is outside the limits of her skills. Versatile as can be, you will find her spinning records at an art gallery just as much as at a steamy Berlin club.
No matter where in the world, Maryisonacid delivers skillful storytelling through her sets, with the energy and ease of an experienced selector who knows how to provide the perfect soundtrack to the situation at hand.
Errol (@errol.and) is one of the UK's most compelling, contemporary musical voices: DJ, NTS Radio staple, music curator and founder of forward-thinking musical movement, Touching Bass. His DJ sets are known for feeling beautifully loose, searching and soulful; unrestricted by genre and anchored by groove. Underpinning it all is a passion for promoting the eclecticism of Black music as well as the culture and community behind it, with roots firmly anchored in his Caribbean heritage.
Newa is opening the Freifeld. She explores the low-level end of the bass-spectrum as well as cunningly introducing squelchy acid together with intense melodies. Whether the end result is techno or an experimental ambient piece, she manages to create music resonating with depth and reflection.
Berghain residents and now frequent collaborators Ben Klock and Fadi Mohem have become synonymous with the classic, no frills aesthetic that's come to define the Berlin institution's sound, with one exception: their newest LP, LAYER ONE.
The album sees them step away from techno in a listening experience that explores IDM, ambient and experimental electronic music with guest vocal appearances.
With Ben playing 2 till 6am and Fadi playing 6am till 12 expect much more than techno.
