How Du is a Dj and producer hailing from the deep underworld of Bristols music scene. With a keen interest in creating musical landscapes combined with his interest in energy healing he now presents an electronic sound bath focusing on helping the body to unlock its true power. The experience will mainly focus on a journey going through each Chakra and focusing on creating more light for each space that needs it to create more harmony for body's energy field using electronic instruments.

EMA is a key torchbearer for a new generation of global bassniks, embodying community rave values through a love of low end frequencies from her home of Dublin.

Bristol-based producer/DJ. Resident DJ for Psychotherapy Sessions with music released on Livity Sound, Rhythm Section, re:lax + [re]sources.

Darwin operates in the realm of low-end frequencies, delivering a tripped-out, sub-rattling blend of styles firmly rooted in soundsystem culture.
Her sets move with swampy intensity and hypnotic flow, drawing dancers in while maintaining a quiet versatility. A seasoned crate digger across many genres, she’s as comfortable playing back-to-back with DJ Storm, Mala or Lena Willikens as she is closing out Bassiani or Berghain’s Klubnacht.
Born in Canada, Darwin found her way into dance music after moving to London—first working at fabric in the mid-2000s, then experiencing a bass eureka moment years later at a Swamp81 party. That defining night set the course for her next chapter in Berlin, where she founded her label SPE:C in 2015 to spotlight emerging global talents like Decka, Carré, Axle, Beatrice M., and Tano.
In 2016, she launched REEF at the now-defunct Griessmuehle, a club where she had started a monthly techno-focused DJ residency 2 years earlier that helped develop her signature stripped back, sci-fi-infused sound. The boundary-pushing party brought bass music’s alien energy into the heart of the techno capital, which now calls Berghain home.
2024 marked a new chapter in Darwin’s evolution with the launch of ABYSS, a Sunday evening soundsystem series centered on the restorative power of low-end frequencies. Blending transcendental dance music with breathwork, meditation and healing practices, the event creates a space where sound connects body and mind.

British-Nigerian DJ and curator Richard Akingbehin is the co-founder of Berlin-based radio station Refuge Worldwide, and the founder of techno, dub and experimental label Kynant Records. His DJ sets move between dub techno, house and ambient, with soundsystem culture as the founding influence.

Laurel Halo is a composer, producer, musician and DJ, born in Detroit and currently based in Los Angeles. Drawing from a range of music lineages, her considered approach has enabled her to maintain a signature aesthetic across a stylistically diverse output, traversing pop, ambient, leftfield club, experimental electronica and film score.

Dengue Dengue Dengue is a Tropical Bass duo. Behind the masks are Felipe Salmon and Rafael Pereira, two producers, dj’s and graphic designers from Lima, Perú. Their work explores the rhythms from Peru and other parts of the world, recreating them electronically by mixing new and old, analog and digital, to create a unique sound and visuals. Their musical explorations go from psychedelic cumbia to dub, from salsa to footwork, from tribal to techno. Their visual and sound palette continues to grow and add new flavours to this melting pot.

Lena Willikens earned the enviable sobriquet ‘A DJ’s DJ’ by virtue of her endless versatility and word of mouth adoration. Playing no two sets the same, Lena’s fathomless variation is the tip of an iceberg-like record collection amassed over decades and constantly renewed via daily practice of listening, joining the dots, and nurturing an ever-growing worldview of dancefloor possibility.
Lena’s revered ability to switch gears in the blink of an ear toys with muscle memory anticipation in ways that defy codification. Instinctively quantising the meter between upfront UK bass mutations, motorik offbeats, and nEuropean synth curios, her intuitive bias prizes sensuality as much as cohesion between what were once termed mutually exclusive bedfellows.
ABYSS heads to Open Ground
On June 14th & 15th, join us on a trip into the depths of low-end frequencies. For the first time ever, ABYSS takes over Open Ground, curating a weekender of sonic and self-exploration.
The event unfolds over two interconnected chapters. Saturday night will immerse attendees into the psychedelic realms of bass. While Sunday, the energy shifts toward restoration, featuring breathwork, soundscape-led yoga, and a selection of downtempo, introspective, and tripped-out excursions—designed to leave you feeling smooth after the rave.
