The owner of Echocord Records, Kenneth, has been successfully running the dub techno label for almost 25 years. He is also in charge of the label's sublabel, Echocord Colour, and the project Pattern Repeat, which he shares with his long-time friend Resoe. Christine Benz moves through the depths of the underground as a DJ with impressive versatility. Her spectrum ranges from; experimental, ambient, slow grooves, reggae dub, house, minimal, gangster groove, dub techno, to hypnotic, high-energy & groovy techno. Her sound breathes throughout many worlds.
After working at Kompakt recordstore for over two years, Visky has developed a diverse music taste. She discovered a wide range of electronic genres, also the weird ones. At an early age she was influenced by broken beats and by minimal techno, today she likes to blend genres for a groovey warm-up, a deep peak-time or a soulful all-nighter in bars and clubs around Cologne and its region.
When Steffen Damm picks his favourite tunes from his collection of over 10.000 records, he always strikes the right note with a fine selection of Dub (Step), Breakbeats, House and Techno. In his radio show for dublab Cologne, he selects his favourite records and creates soulful and smooth listening sets, with classic and new tunes.
Julian aka DJ H0TLINE is label owner and mastermind behind CALL808. He is rooted in hip hop music and started producing beats at the early age of 13. During the past years he became fluent in a large variety of electronic genres, always with his own signature sound. Today he is a member of the Kompakt family and releases music under his alias Mioche.
Echocord Records Founded in 2001 in Copenhagen Denmark by the Danish DJ Kenneth Christiansen. Celebrating 25 years next year. Echocord releases deep and dubby music. At Open Ground Echocord invited legend Vainqueur from Berlin to do a liveset and Christine Benz from Zürich to do a djset. The Echocord founder Kenneth Christiansen will bring his vinyl-only djset to round-it-up.

Will CALL808 save the music industry from streaming? Maybe. But: It’s the thought that counts. The label and music hotline from Cologne will celebrate its club debut dedicated to all kinds of breaks and deep bass music. On the decks: Steffen, Julian and Vicky. They met some years ago at Kompakt record store and share the same passion for UK bass genres like dubstep, garage and breaks. Steffen entered the music scene in Cologne in the 90s when he worked as a promoter for hip hop records. He is known all over the place for his all nighters in local dance bars (OFF Bar, Zum Scheuen Reh) and for his eclectic dublab radio show. Julian aka DJ H0TLINE is label owner and mastermind behind CALL808. His roots are also in hip hop music, he released under several names. He also gets a buzz from clubby sounds and grooves, is a member of the Kompakt family and recently released under his alter ego Mioche. Together with Cologne based DJ Visky, who is known for her diverse selection and genre-blending DJ sets, the trio plans an unforgettable vinyl only night from dub to electro.
