While many DJs approach genre and scope adventurously, few are as expansive and unique as CCL. With an incisively technical and uncannily creative approach to mixing, and a ravenous appetite for music of all kinds, they unite the unimaginable. As a DIY festival organizer and record collector, drawing from their experiences in Bristol, the DIY scene of Seattle and the American Midwest, CCL has a unique affinity for fluidity and liminality, weaving music together through distinct narratives that open wormholes between all genres and tempos. From their critically acclaimed radio show liquidtime to their subglow residency at Berlin institution Ohm, to best clubs and festivals worldwide, they showcase their unique take on sonic storytelling with a highly adaptable sense of dancefloor intuition.
Harmonizing and connecting disparate sound into bold and enticing ecosystems is constantly present in their DJ sets–blooming and molting through a plethora of infectious steppers, psychedelic techno, supple house, dusty 80s synths, glittering footwork, psychedelic post-punk guitars, bubbling drum and bass, twisted dub, and all that lies beyond and between.
Berlin-based DJ and radio host Elke radiates high energy – whether through playful electro, garage, and jungle or via percussive techno, bassy rollers, and stone-cold drumfunk.
Introspekt is a contemporary club icon, afrofuturist, producer, DJ, sensual provocateur, roots of dubstep recontextualiser, who recently released on T4T LUV NRG and her first album ('Moving The Center') on foundational UK dubstep label, Tempa. Inspired by Baltimore club, Croydon dubstep, the Paradise Garage's heritage of Afro-Latin rhythms, she conjures up her own sense of space and time, through cycles of rhythm. Her approach to composition and DJ sets is about reimagining the past and also creating a different trajectories of futurity.
livwutang sits within a modern continuum of DJs whose sound can't be contained to one particular style or genre
- she instead delivers a distinctly eclectic array of exuberant kinetics, introspective strength, & chaotic dexterity to any dancefloor she's a part of. Beginning her DJing journey amidst the liberated frequencies of pirate radio & the psychedelic embrace of DIY rave in Seattle, her expressive practice has only continued to evolve & connect her inner world to those around her. Underpinned by elegant buoyancy & an unrestrained sense of manifestation, her mixing accesses a constantly shifting point of serenity - subtly creating full fledged sensory experiences, always attuned to immersive narrative building & delivered with a keen sense of danceability, confidence, & poise. It's within this spellbinding maelstrom that she brings a unique & adventurous flare to DJing, constantly reinventing her present surroundings to create innovative glances into the past & future. While her style is grounded within the unifying spatial awareness of dub and the joys of dance music's renegade sound, lifelong influences from her musical upbringing are channeled into her enthralling musical vision - an enchanting sonic palette deftly maneuvering between the jubilant rhythms of Central & Western Africa, the innovative momentum of Black American music, & an expansive love of timeless vocal flourishes and earworm melodies from the last 60 years of popular music.
Daniel Wang has been involved in Clubs and Dance Music for a very very long time now! Yes, he lived in downtown New York in the 1990s, but now he has been a Berliner for over 22 years. He first played at Ostgut (the original Berghain) in 2001, and has been a regular DJ at almost every queer club + party here, including Horse Meat Disco and Cocktail d'Amore. He still has residencies at the queer club Schwuz and at Paloma Bar in Kreuzberg.
But most importantly - everyone knows this - Daniel Wang just loves to dance and have fun with people on the dancefloor! He hates big commercial festivals and boring laptop techno made by cut-and-paste. Let Daniel play the violins and guitars and Salsoul congas, and get everybody into a big happy circle together. He brings his joyful spirit and deep musicality to every gig.
Moving curiously through dance music as a DJ and producer since 2009, Bell Towers has had five years of fun with cult Melbourne party Bamboo Musik (RIP).
BT’s DJ sets flirt with 4/4 basement house, flimsy synthetic pop, cheap and chic funk, and emotional sunrise burnouts. He connects the dots and gives the floor his own idiosyncratic interpretation of ‘dance music history’. You might’ve heard the tracks the first time around, but the point here is that you haven’t heard them played like this.
