The Tottenham London born-and-bred selector grew up on soul and reggae, later becoming a dedicated junglist. First as a resident DJ at the legendary London club Plastic People, she’s built a rep as one of the most effective and interesting DJs around. Playing shape-shifting, genre-bending sets that effortlessly move from classic rare groove and disco records to upfront house and techno, via garage, jungle and whatever else she feels like. With no social media presence, Josey’s reputation is based on selection, passion and authenticity.
Since 1994 Terrence Dixon is widely known for his experimental approach to Detroit Techno. He has been on some of the most prestigious electronic music labels such as Metroplex, Tresor, Rush Hour, Axis, Delsin, 30 drop, minimaldetroitaudio(mda) and Trip just to name a few, He also has rare appearances on Slam radio and nts radio.
His record releases are on another level, the "From The Far Future" series on Tresor, his album "Reporting From Detroit" on Rush Hour...to the four classics he has on Metroplex records in Detroit.
His unique approach to live shows is the same as the music he makes, all original unreleased material expect anything at any time but with a very steady awareness of the dance floor and mind.
Cisco Ferreira, known as The Advent and based in London, can be described in a variety of ways: as a musician, a trailblazer, a sound designer, a consistent presence, a tenacious individual, a rebel, an icon, an outsider, and a remarkable live performer.
However, The Advent is primarily recognised for his unique take on what we refer to as Techno. From the moment the young Portuguese Cisco encountered Acid House in the London clubs he frequented, his mission has been to carve out his niche in the electronic music landscape. As he recently expressed, “I’ve been doing this for quite a few years and I’m not going anywhere,” which encapsulates his determination. Unlike some of his peers, you won’t catch Ferreira engaging in sensationalistic antics or fretting over the integrity of mainstream artists. He embodies everything you appreciate about techno, minus the unnecessary theatrics.
Grinsta's musical journey started with dubstep and many formative nights at places like Salon des Amateurs, Golzheim and RBC. Contributing to and moving within the multifaceted world of Callshop Radio has further broadened his musical horizons, and throughout it all he has developed a deep appreciation for records that are accompanied by dim lights and a bass heavy system.
House aficionado who's been generating serious buzz. Co-founder of Dubble Records, he has transformed into one of the scene's best-kept secrets, an irresistible force of percussive, rolling dubby goodness that everyone craves.
With a growing army of supporters that includes heavyweights like Enzo Siragusa, Gene on Earth, Laidlaw, Sibil and DJ Sweet6teen,
Brennan is no longer just an emerging talent; he's a namesake in the making. His infectious grooves and expert craftmanship have not only won over fans but have also solidified his reputation as a wizard in the studio.
Brennan is also a seasoned DJ, effortlessly commanding the decks alongside talents such as Garrett David, Taslo, Youandewan, and Liquid Earth. Each set is a testament to his versatility, where he fuses deep basslines with hypnotic rhythms that keep the dance floor alive.
As he continues to carve out his niche, Brennan is poised to become a defining voice in the world of tech house.
Originally from East Germany, based in Leipzig, Miss Take began her journey into DJing by making mixtapes for her loved ones.
She brings her signature blend of deep basslines, dubby sounds and broken rhythms. Always guided by cheeky vocals and intuitive energy.
From new age, alternative and wave influences in her radio shows and listening sets to bass-heavy explorations on the dance floor, she stands for vibes over genres. Loving many sounds and often all at once, Miss Take refuses to take only one path. Instead, she blends everything together, creating a unity that feels whole and fluid. Her music connects movement and mood, always led by the bass.
For nearly ten years, Callshop Radio has been broadcasting live to the world. What began in a backyard in Düsseldorf as part of the interdisciplinary cultural space ROOOOOM has, over the years, evolved into an established community radio, building studios in Leipzig, Paris, and Vienna. The diversity of genres reflects the many facets of the scenes that Callshop Radio calls home.
Alongside its ongoing radio program, events have always been a core part of the collective. Collaborations with festivals, clubs, museums, and concert venues create opportunities to bring the station’s hosts onto the stage beyond the studio. The focus remains on connecting artists from different locations and shaping events collaboratively.
On June 13, the radio stays true to this vision: for the Annex Floor at Open Ground, alongside one guest and two residents from the Düsseldorf and Leipzig locations have been invited.
