Berlin-based DJ and radio host Elke radiates high energy – whether through playful electro, garage, and jungle or via percussive techno, bassy rollers, and stone-cold drumfunk.
The first superstar produced by the breakbeat jungle movement, Goldie popularized drum’n’bass as a form of musical expression just as relevant for living-room contemplation as techno had become by the early ’90s. Goldie became one of the first personalities in British dance music, his gold teeth and b-boy attitude placing him leagues away from the faceless bedroom boffins who had become the norm in intelligent dance music.
A true veteran and leading tastemaker in Doc Scott has been an essential and pivotal figure in D&B scene since before its inception and continues to push things forward with his future beats ethos. Whilst well known for shaping Drum & Bass, he’s equally passionate about links between Detroit Techno and Drum n Bass It all came from the same DNA originally and parallels and bridges between the two worlds still very much exist today.
Viola Klein’s records are supremely earthy and astrally inclined. In her DJ sets, she navigates with harmonies through a music selection that combines experimental house from the US Midwest, West African polyrhythms, and music in the tradition of Can from Cologne. „DJ Viola Klein’s R’nB-infused house cuts had the crowd swooning.“ Crack Magazine
To K15, music is about expression and challenge, a space where fun meets friction and an opportunity to make music from living, not a living from music. His ability to craft music has seen him cultivate a loyal cohort of listeners and made him well respected among peers. He's DJ’d and made music for over 20 years and continues to create - but still wouldn't consider himself a musician.
He has collaborated on various projects with Simbad, Kuniyuki, Mr.G, Earl Jeffers and with Emeson as part of Profusion, as well as producing and remixing music for Children of Zeus, Nubya Garcia and Yelfris Valdés His most recent release is a collaborative EP with Detroit’s finest Kyle Hall. Whether he's K15 or Culross Close, the approach is always the same - make music that's honest of the time.
late is of great passion for club dancing and music of many styles. playing records for the dance, he frames a house with windows wide open to much & any other style on the beat, from all corners and many niches of space and time, mixing in balance and melting it all down into one jam that is of strength & spice, that might be of surprise, that draws a four onto a floor where ♥︎ is always on the one
Bring Your Ass has been a party series inviting ambassadors of house music, guests as Aaron-Carl, Whodat, Marcellus Pittman, and Kyle Hall when he was just 18 years old, way back when internet was not taking that much space. Open Ground is giving the spirit of those parties a new home to continue a deep house journey on a soundsystem comparable in it's intensity to the high technical standard originaly set on US American deep house dancefloors like The Shelter.
Let's transform.
