Mit Co-Signings von einigen der einflussreichsten Veranstaltungsorte, Plattformen und Labels Europas, darunter Düsseldorfs Salon des Amateurs und Londons NTS Radio, hat sich der in Köln ansässige Künstler Phillip Jondo seit vielen Jahren einen Ruf als erstklassiger DJ und Produzent erarbeitet.

Seine Debüt-EP Little Princess für Dekmantel (2021) enthielt herausragende Kollaborationen mit Maxwell Sterling, DJ Plead und Moa Pillar. Jondos neueste BISQU EP feat. Xzavier Stone und DJ Plead wird über sein eigenes Imprint SPA Recordings veröffentlicht und beschreitet einen ähnlich gewichtigen Weg. Das Label SPA wurde 2018 von Jondo und seinen Freunden DJ Brom und Friday Dunard gegründet.

Seit 2014 moderiert Phillip regelmäßig Shows auf NTS und lädt internationale Gäste ein, zukunftsweisende und kreative Selektionen zu präsentieren. Seine Sets decken alles ab von Grime, House, Footwork, Jungle, Rap, Dancehall, R&B, Disco bis hin zu basslastigem Techno. Jondos Leidenschaft für Experiment machte ihn zu einem einzigartigen Selector, der in der Lage ist, die Punkte zwischen verschiedenen Stilen nahtlos durch durchdachtes Layering und kreative Mixing-Skills zu verbinden.

Mit Highlight-Shows bei Festivals und Clubs wie Draaimolen, Meakusma, Dekmantel, Dekmantel Selectors, Melt, Robert Johnson und De School präsentierte Jondo seinen unverwechselbaren Sound einem vielfältigen Publikum in ganz Europa.

Known for her fierce drum breaks, bass heavy club bouncers and 140-160 BPM madness, the budding selector has already been gaining notoriety as a force to be reckoned with.
As a booker, raver and all-round muso, Dangermami had already learnt the ins and outs of the electronic scene before even laying a finger on a mixer. Upon deciding to step from the dancefloor into the booth, she founded a mentorship programme to help other femmes looking to launch their careers. Femme Bass Mafia is the result of this idea.
